OUR focus
Employing objective and impartial principles of evaluation of realities on the ground, we aim to carry out quality research and produce scientific knowledge in the following key thematic areas.

Migration studies
Our research on migration covers out-migration, return and internal displacements in Afghanistan. BILIM has been actively organizing and participating in international seminars and conferences on forced migration studies.

Education
Our assessment on education focuses on information dissemination and skills development in Afghan schools. Irrespective of religious and scientific schooling we study education as a key element transforming social, cultural, and economic trends in Afghanistan.

Cultural studies
We understand culture as a key component defining relations between people of different ethnicity and traditional background. We study culture as an important element defining people’s day-to-day lives from a multidisciplinary perspective of anthropology, gender, identity, communication, and cross-cultural relations.

Public Administration and Governance
We study public administration as a key institution in designing and implementing the Afghan changing national development policies against constant dynamics of public needs, national social, economic, political priorities, and international obligations.
